Becker’s Hospital Review Names Winchester Hospital a Top Hospital
Winchester Hospital was named to the annual “100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” by Becker's Hospital Review, a nationally recognized source of business and legal information for healthcare organizations.
The list includes hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers and physician groups. Organizations are rated based on work environment,employee recognition programs, benefits package and opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
According to Becker’s, it was Winchester Hospital’s focus on its employees and their achievements that has them on this list. In particular, the Pacesetting Employees Earn Recognition, or PEER, award program,which recognizes employees who go above and beyond for a patient or a colleague; its DAISY Award, which recognizes nursing excellence; the grateful patient program, through which patients can honor their caregivers; and the hospital’s leadership development program.
In the past year, Becker’s has also recognized Kevin Smith, presidentand CEO of Winchester Hospital on its “100 Leaders of Great Hospitals” list andRichard Iseke, MD, vice president of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer(CMO), on its “100 Hospital and Health System CMO’s To Know” list.
Winchester Hospital was alsoselected by Becker’s as one of the “100 Great Hospitals” for its numerousawards for quality care, including the HealthGrades Outstanding PatientExperience Award and Magnet designation for nursing excellence.
