Kathy Schuler, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Winchester Hospital, Re-Elected to MONE
Winchester, Mass. – Kathy Schuler, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Winchester Hospital, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) as its Northeast Region representative. She also was elected chair of the MONE Nomination Committee.

Donna Sherrill, director of Magnet and special projects at Winchester Hospital, was elected to the MONE Nomination Committee.

“I’m pleased to continue to represent the nursing leaders of the Northeast Region on the MONE board,” Schuler said. “The challenges facing the nursing profession as we move into the future are many: the nursing shortage, the aging workforce, a continued focus on patient outcomes and the development of future nurse leaders. The proven strategy to manage these issues has been, and will continue to be, a vibrant nursing leadership organization creating a shared vision and working together toward success.”

MONE represents more than 700 nursing leaders from diverse practices across the state. Its members employ, manage and influence more than 40,000 nurses and health care workers and administer operating budgets exceeding $1 billion annually.

The mission of the organization is to provide direction and leadership for the advancement of professional nursing and patient care and for the achievement of excellence in nursing management practice. Headquartered in Burlington, Mass., MONE is an affiliate of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
