Winchester, Mass. — Winchester Hospital is participating in a joint venture with Emerson Hospital, Lowell General Hospital, Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and Massachusetts Citizens for Children to present “An Evening with Dr. Harvey Karp,” America’s most-read pediatrician. The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Westford Regency Inn in Westford.

Dr. Karp is a nationally renowned pediatrician and child development specialist on the faculty of UCLA School of Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His work has been translated into more than 20 languages and has reached millions of parents.
In addition to discussing his infant soothing and toddler support programs, Dr. Karp will report on how hospitals and other state and private maternal/child health providers are establishing infant soothing classes through The Happiest Baby Certification Program.
Tickets cost $15 per person or $25 per parent couple, with proceeds benefiting Massachusetts Citizens for Children and its work to support families and prevent child abuse. To purchase tickets, visit www.masskids.org.
