Marie Johnson, Director of Volunteer Services at Winchester Hospital, Honored as 2009 Winchester Citizen of the Year
Winchester, Mass. – Marie Johnson, director of volunteer services at Winchester Hospital, has been selected by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce as the 2009 Winchester Citizen of the Year.

“The Citizen of the Year celebration is one of the chamber’s most exciting events of the year,” said Cathy Alexander, executive director of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce. “Since Marie is a former chamber president, it’s even more special to us.”
“Our volunteer program, which was developed and is led by Marie, makes a significant contribution to our patients’ experience,” said Dale Lodge, president and chief executive officer of Winchester Hospital. “Marie, in many ways, is the face of Winchester Hospital. I am proud to be both her colleague and friend. I thank the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing her contributions to improving the health of the Winchester community.”
A celebration and dinner to honor Johnson will be held on Wednesday, May 20 at the Woburn Hilton. The public is invited. To make a reservation, call the Winchester Chamber of Commerce at 781-729-8870.
