Winchester Hospital to Hold Day and Evening Orientations for Adult Volunteers on Jan. 12

Winchester, Mass. — The Friends of Winchester Hospital invites all adults in the local communities to join Winchester Hospital as a volunteer. Orientation sessions will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the Conference Center at the hospital’s main campus located at 41 Highland Ave. in Winchester. A tour of the hospital will follow the presentation.
 
Currently there are limited volunteer opportunities at Winchester Hospital, as well as its many off-site locations. Assignments are made based on the skills and availability of volunteers and the needs of the various departments. Participants, who may request an assignment that does or does not involve patient contact, typically volunteer for a three-hour shift once a week.
