Isabel Balderas, MD, a Fellowship-Trained Ophthalmologist and Ocular Surgeon, Joins Medical Staff at Winchester Hospital

Winchester, Mass. – Winchester Hospital has welcomed a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and ocular surgeon to its medical staff. A resident of North Reading, Isabel Balderas, MD is practicing alongside eye physician and surgeon Jason Gilbert, MD in Medford.
 
Dr. Balderas received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, and she received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. She completed a glaucoma fellowship at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, a glaucoma fellowship and an ophthalmology residency at Tufts Medical Center-New England Eye Center in Boston, and an internship at Cambridge Health Alliance.
 
Dr. Balderas speaks English and Spanish. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
