Winchester Hospital Earns Top Recognition at New England Society for Healthcare Communications 2010 Lamplighter Awards
Winchester, Mass. – Winchester Hospital’s Communications & Public Affairs Department was honored for excellence at the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) 2010 Lamplighter Awards ceremony held on May 25 at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa in Stowe, Vt.
Each year, NESHCo recognizes hospitals, agencies and healthcare facilities throughout New England for excellence in marketing, public relations and communications. The 2010 competition included 343 entries from more than 75 organizations.
Winchester Hospital earned four Gold Awards for a rebranding initiative which has included a redesigned logo, website and print materials; the community newsletter, Focus On Your Health, which is mailed three times a year to 135,000 local residents; its FORTUNE 100 culture audit submission; and communications around the hospital’s commitment to job preservation during 2009 budget reductions. Winchester Hospital also earned a Silver Award for its 2009 Annual Report.
NESHCo is the region’s premier professional development organization for communication professionals working in the health care industry. Based in Rowley, Mass., the organization is comprised of nearly 300 members throughout New England.
