Winchester Hospital Named a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

Winchester, Mass. – Winchester Hospital has been designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement SM by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA). The designation is based on rigorous, evidence-based selection criteria established in collaboration with expert physicians’ and medical organizations’ recommendations.
 
Winchester Hospital has previously been named a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery by BCBSMA.
 
The Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement is a new Blue Distinction® designation that is awarded to medical facilities exhibiting a commitment to quality care, resulting in better overall outcomes for patients who undergo knee and hip replacement procedures. Blue Distinction Centers for Knee and Hip Replacement have demonstrated experience in offering comprehensive inpatient knee and hip replacement services, including total knee replacement and total hip replacement.
