Recognizing Individual Achievements
We are extremely proud of all team members and we work hard to recognize their individual achievements. Here are some of the many ways we recognize our team:
Nurses are recognized with The DAISY Award, which is a nationwide program that identifies nurses who show extraordinary compassion to patients and family members. Patients, family members and staff are encouraged to nominate a nurse for the DAISY Award.
Employees are recognized for their length of service at the hospital's annual Service Awards Dinner.
Employees who go above and beyond for a patient or a colleague can be recognized with a Pacesetting Employees Earn Recognition (PEER) award.
Each year, Winchester Hospital recognizes a member of its team with the Compassionate Caregiver Award, which was established in memory of long-time Winchester Hospital physician Kenneth Tucker, MD. Dr. Tucker exemplified compassionate care with all of his patients.
Winchester Hospital's Breast Care Center is fully accredited as an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, offering digital mammography, breast biopsies and on-site surgeons, radiologists and oncologists.
Winchester Hospital offers the state-of-the-art da Vinci robotic surgical system for minimally invasive surgery, allowing most patients to go home within 24 hours of surgery, experience less pain and recover faster.
Through Winchester Hospital’s Grateful Patient Program, you can honor your physician, nurse or caregiver with a contribution to the hospital. It’s a wonderful way to say thank you for the care you or a family member received.
