Help in Managing Diabetes
The Winchester Hospital Diabetes Center offers an education program that has gained recognition by the American Diabetes Association. A certified diabetes nurse educator facilitates this excellent program.

About the Outpatient Diabetes Management Program
Each person in our program receives individual education and consultation from a certified diabetes nurse educator. Certified diabetes registered dietitians provide nutritional assistance as well.
This program is for adults with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes. The program teaches diabetes self-management skills including:
- Healthy eating
- Problem solving
- Coping techniques
- Reducing risks
This support group is for people who wear an insulin pump or are interested in learning about insulin pump therapy. The group meets the second Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the first floor conference room at Winchester Hospital's Outpatient Center at Unicorn Park, 200 Unicorn Park Drive, Suite 401 in Woburn.
