Personal Emergency Response Service
Winchester Hospital offers Lifeline, which has been a leading provider of affordable, personal response services for more than 20 years.
Lifeline provides peace of mind, early intervention and security, helping people live independently while ensuring help is just a button push away, 24 hours a day.
To call for help, you simply press a personal help button you wear as a pendant or wristband. The personal help button activates a small, in-home communicator that automatically dials the Lifeline Response Center.
How the Service Works
If you call for help:
- Within seconds, your call is answered by one of Lifeline’s caring, highly-trained monitors/operators.
- Whatever you need, Lifeline will respond to you quickly. All of your important information is immediately available to the monitor answering your call, so the type of help you need is quickly determined – and Lifeline makes sure you get it.
- Lifeline is surprisingly affordable. You pay a low, one-time installation charge and a low monthly fee for as long as you need the service.
Our goal is to give you the confidence to continue to live independently in your own home. We do this by ensuring that you know whenever you need help, it’s just a button push away.
