A Special Class for Bariatric Weight Loss
Winchester Hospital offers a weekly Bariatric Weight Management Class for people who:
- Have had surgery and feel like they don’t know what to do now to keep their weight under control
- Are gaining weight after the initial weight loss after surgery has ended
- Are lacking the motivation to lose weight that they regained post-surgery
The Bariatric Weight Management Class consists of weekly support meetings led by a registered dietitian and gastric bypass patient with extensive experience in the nutritional and emotional needs of this specialty patient population.
The class focuses on developing lifelong habits necessary to keep weight off after bariatric surgery and features a program of nutrition education, structure and accountability.
Classes meets Thursdays from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. at 75 Riverside Ave, Suite 3, in Medford. Get directions. The cost is $15 a week. For more information, contact Janet Nolan MA, RD, LDN, at 781-396-6221, extension 3.
