Cardiologist Michael Mazzini, MD Joins Medical Staff

Winchester Hospital is pleased to welcome cardiologist Michael Mazzini, MD to its medical staff. He has joined North Suburban Cardiology Associates in Stoneham. Dr. Mazzini

Dr. Mazzini received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He completed his internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by fellowships in general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Boston University Medical Center.

He was recruited to the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine. His research has been supported by the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Heart Association, and the National Institutes of Health. He is the recipient of the 2008 Michael Bilitch Fellowship in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology andthe 2009 Clinical Research Award in Honor of Mark Josephson and Hein Wellens, both of which are conferred by the Heart Rhythm Society. 

His clinical interests include arrhythmias (including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardias, ventricular arrhythmias, and prevention of sudden cardiac death), pacemakers, ICDs, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and syncope (fainting spells).
