If You Need Help Paying Your Hospital Bill

As a nonprofit hospital serving communities north of Boston, Winchester Hospital is committed to serving the needs of financially disadvantaged and underserved populations. Our community benefits at Winchester Hospital include charity care offering free or discounted health services to people who cannot afford to pay. 

If You Have No Insurance

A representative of our Patient Financial Service Department will discuss financial
arrangements with you. Depending on your family income and family size, you may be
eligible for a state program, such as MassHealth or another state program.

It is important to speak with a Patient Financial Service representative who can assist
you with this. The Patient Financial Services Department can be reached at 781-744-5554 between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm weekdays.

Massachusetts State Insurance

Health Connector is an independent Massachusetts agency dedicated to health
insurance for state residents. On the Health Connector website, you can find information
on:

• Commonwealth Choice, where you can compare plans from the state's major insurers to find a plan that’s right for you

• The Commonwealth Care program, which offers low-cost or no-cost health insurance for people who qualify, and provides comprehensive benefits and a choice of health plans
