Having a baby is one of life’s most exciting events, and Winchester Hospital is proud to have been providing exceptional care for new mothers and their babies for more than 100 years.

Whether you are having a low-risk pregnancy or are considered to have a high-risk pregnancy due to your age, other health conditions or because you are expecting multiple babies, Winchester Hospital has the maternity and childbirth services you need.

Winchester Hospital is considered one of the most prominent obstetrical facilities north of Boston and includes Maternal Fetal Medicine, the Labor and Delivery Unit, the Mother Baby Unit (where mothers and babies stay after delivery), the Special Care Nursery (should your baby need these services) and Pediatrics.

Our Services for Expectant Mothers

A team of obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists and nurses work together to provide the best technology and personal care to achieve optimal pregnancy outcomes. Some specific procedures include:

Our Maternal Newborn Services for Babies

Chiropractic Care, Acupuncture and Massage

The Winchester Hospital Chiropractic Center is pleased to offer chiropractic care, acupuncture and massage for pregnant women as part of our wide range of services. Our services can help with pregnancy-related discomfort such as pressure on a nerve in the back (sciatica), spinal or pelvic misalignment, and more. A special pregnancy table allows you to lie on your stomach comfortably during the treatment. Studies show that 84% of women report relief from back pain during pregnancy with chiropractic care.
