About Integrative Therapy

The term “integrated therapy” often is used interchangeably with “complementary therapy” and “alternative therapy.” However, there is a significant difference.

Professionals who practice integrative therapy blend these techniques with mainstream methods of treatment. Integrative therapy is not intended to replace conventional treatment. Instead, these techniques are used together with conventional treatment to promote wellness and help relieve discomfort.

Insurance Coverage

Some insurance plans cover certain integrative therapy treatments. It’s a good idea to check with your insurance company to ask about coverage. We usually don’t require a doctor’s order for you to have an integrative therapy treatment, but some insurance plans may require one to cover part or all the cost.

Winchester Hospital does not bill insurance for integrative therapies. All services are self-pay. If your insurance covers one of the therapies offered, we are happy to provide you with an itemized receipt to submit a claim yourself.
